The Scientific Sessions will be held at the House of the
Estates in Helsinki. This dignified
Neo-Renaissance building serves mainly as a venue for meetings
and official functions held by the Prime Minister´s Office
and other offices of the central government.
Opposite to the House of the Estates is located the headquarters
of the Bank of Finland. In front of which is the statue of
J.V. Snellman, a statesman and philosopher from the 19th century,
considered as the father of the Finnish currency Markka.
